IEEE SPONSORED 3-DAY WORKSHOP ON WIRELESS NETWORK SIMULATION USING NS2 at CSED, THAPAR UNIVERSITY, PATIALA.
(March 13-15, 2014)
ABOUT:
The recent developments in the area of ICT revolutionized the mobile computing paradigm. The world has become a ‘global village’ and the user is no longer chained to wires paving the way for wireless and mobile networks. Simulation is widely used and accepted as an important tool to understand the behavior of a system(s).
NS2 is an open-source simulation tool, belongs to a class of discrete event simulators and is targeted at networking research. It provides substantial support for simulation of TCP, routing, and multicast protocols over wired and wireless (local and satellite) networks. This workshop will be an excellent opportunity for young researchers to learn and practice on NS2 working in the area of MANETs, VANETs and WSN. WORKSHOP ON WIRELESS NETWORK SIMULATION USING NS2
