Scope of the conference
International Conference on Advances in computer science and Information Technology (ASCIT ’14) provides a platform and a forum for research scholars, practicing Engineers and Faculties. The conference will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world. Authors are solicited to contribute to the conference by submitting articles that illustrate research results, projects and industrial experiences. It aims to provide an outstanding opportunity for both academic and industrial communities alike to address new trends and challenges and emerging technologies on topics relevant to today’s fast moving areas of Computer, Communication and Informatics. The conference will feature invited talks and referred paper presentations. The vision of ASCIT’14 is to develop foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of areas in communication and informatics with a common interest.

VEL’S EDUCATIONAL TRUST was founded by Dr. Ishari K Ganesh, M.Com, MBA, B.L, Ph.D, a visionary and an eminent educationist who served to take education to the thresholds of first generation learners and weaker sections of the society. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is committed to provide students with a platform for gaining technical education as well as equipping them with the skills required to mould them into successful professionals. The Courses offered in the department meet the requirements of both industry and research. The Department is well-equipped with excellent computing facilities, latest software and state-of-the-art IT infrastructure .The Department has well-experienced and dedicated faculty members with different specializations. The recently revised curriculum has reduced course load and greater emphasis on design and project work. It emphasizes the need for independent thinking and encourages students to get involved in interesting and novel projects. Organizing seminars/workshops etc. is a regular feature of the department. Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities and competitions held by other universities and colleges within the state and out-side the state. The students have won laurels to the college winning prizes in competitions. The department strives to become a pioneering world-class Centre of excellence in education and research through collaborative, consultative and participatory approaches.
